Restorative Justice Center Coming Fall 2019!Student Conduct and Community Standards is working to develop a Restorative Justice (RJ) program that can be made available for students when they are referred for allegedly violated some of the policies outlined in the Code. RJ is used nationwide at colleges and universities to resolve student conflict and incidents. Institutions like Skidmore College, Brown University, University of Florida, Siena College, University of Kentucky, University of Texas- El Paso, University of Michigan, Canisius College, and more all have RJ Programs.
Restorative Justice repairs harm done by an action.
The goal is to work with all individuals (harmed and accused) to come to a resolution. Restoration can be utilized through restorative justice circles, mediation, conferences, conflict management and even through letter writing.
