Conduct Advisors are trained members of the college community who are available for students to assist them through the conduct process. Advisors provided by the college are free of charge. A student has the right to a Conduct Advisor from the college should they choose. Students have the right to bring any advisor of their choosing, however, if it may be at their own expense.
Conduct Advisor do not serve as legal counsel, and do not have the ability to address members of a College Hearing Board on behalf of their student. Advisors are meant to be a support and guidance system for student in the conduct process. More information about the role of a Conduct Advisor can be found in the Buffalo State College Code of Conduct.
Should a student request an advisor the Student Conduct and Community Standards Office will assign one, or a student may contact an advisor on their own.
